I’ve started following social media accounts of multiple local organizations that regularly do interesting things that count as “news” or “features.” This one that popped up today. I encourage you to incorporate doing the same.
Look at this photo. Do you see that spread of seed? There are so many cool variations of this shot; fill the frame and shoot facing the volunteer horizontally and vertically, shoot high, shoot low. Do you see the wide open, big sky landscape? Do you see the layers of volunteers broadcasting native seed?
I see a really simple event that could be an amazing video and/or photo story that has environmental news value.
